Eric Short Named Vice President and General Manager of SIMONA PMC and More Organizational Changes
SIMONA AMERICA Group is pleased to announce that Eric Short has been named Vice President and General Manager of SIMONA PMC. Eric will take on this position officially on July 20, 2020. The role was previously held by Tom Miller, who is leaving the company for a new opportunity.
“I’m very honored and excited to take on this new role. Tom Miller leaves some big shoes to fill, and SIMONA PMC is stronger because of his leadership – he will be missed. I’m looking forward to our next chapter with what I believe is the strongest team in the industry.”
Eric previously held the position of Vice President of Technical and Sales Support at SIMONA PMC. He started with the company in 2011. In his previous employment with a plastics resin company, Eric called on PMC as a customer as they were growing their thermoforming line of products. Since then, he has been involved in the extrusion and thermoforming business for more than 20 years and helped launch TPO into the industry.“
Eric is very qualified for this position with so much expertise in extrusion and thermoforming. He is very well respected by his peers here at SIMONA AMERICA Group and we are excited for the leadership he will bring to our operations in this unique time that requires focus and efficiency,” said Dean Li, CEO of SIMONA PMC and SIMONA Boltaron.
Chris Marshall has also been promoted from Production Manager to Plant Manager. Chris started with SIMONA PMC in 2010 as Production Supervisor after working for most of his career in rubber and plastics injection molding.
Samantha Stacy, current Technical Sales and Support Manager has been promoted to Technical Manager. Samantha joined SIMONA PMC in 2015 after previously working as a Project Manager at Scotts Miracle Gro and Pilot Plant Manager at Cargill.
“SIMONA PMC has a great operational team and we are pleased to give more responsibility to these standout leaders as we develop new products and enter new markets as an industry-leading growing company,” said Larry Schorr, CEO of SIMONA AMERICA Group.
